Google announced Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, described as its most advanced live dialogue models.
The Extended Thinking variant offers multi-step reasoning and simultaneous speech, and is rolling out to Gemini Live, Gmail Live, Docs Live, and Keep Live.
The base model supports near real-time visual inputs and language detection across 97 languages.
