Anthropic launches Haiku 5.5 at a much lower price

Anthropic releases Haiku 5.5 with significant price cuts and effort controls.

New model

Anthropic released Claude Haiku 5.5, its smallest and most affordable model, with significantly reduced pricing: $0.10/$0.50 per million input/output tokens for requests under 100,000 tokens, down from $1/$5 for Haiku 4.5.

The model includes effort controls (default medium) and shows substantial benchmark improvements over Haiku 4.5, including a 72.4% score on OSWorld 2.1 (computer use) versus 15.7%.

Haiku 5.5 is available on the Claude Platform, AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
