AMD acquires Fei-Fei Li's spatial-intelligence lab in $8.2B all-stock deal

AMD has agreed to acquire 
World Labs, the AI research lab co-founded by Fei-Fei Li that develops spatial-intelligence models for 3D environments, for about $8.2 billion in an all-stock deal expected to close by the end of 2026.
Li will join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist after the transaction closes, subject to regulatory approval.
