Shalini Ananda, an AI researcher with no frontend experience, built Fire Fairness using Lovable—an insurance equity engine that helps non-profit legal aid groups process wildfire insurance claims 360x faster while detecting and eliminating demographic bias.
The tool, already in use by attorneys supporting victims of the 2025 Los Angeles fires, has processed 2,847 claims to date and achieves a 99.8% cost reduction compared to manual review.
