Runway detailed its new synchronous moderation system for upcoming real-time video generation, which scans frames of the live stream and halts it within an average of less than 0.5 seconds if harmful content is found.

The system uses the CoPE-B model from Zentropi, built as a LoRA adapter over Gemma-4-26B-A4B-it, and sits atop existing defenses including model-level safeguards, red teaming, youth safety, account enforcement, and C2PA provenance signals.
