Suno details principles and new safeguards for AI music creation
Suno published its principles for responsible music AI, including a commitment to prevent imitation of existing artists, a forthcoming downloads policy to limit mass distribution on streaming platforms, and new audio watermarking and fingerprinting tools to identify AI-generated songs.
The company also updated its Community Guidelines to clarify prohibited activities such as recreating existing songs or using someone's voice without permission.

We will soon introduce a new downloads policy designed to limit the ability to mass distribute songs on streaming platforms, while preserving the professional, creative, and personal ways people use Suno. These changes won’t affect the vast majority of our users, but they will make large-scale abuse much harder.
