Runway launched Characters, a real-time video agent API for building custom conversational avatars from a single image with no fine-tuning, using the company's GWM-1 model. Characters is available via the developer platform for enterprise teams and as preset avatars in the Runway web app for consumers. Partners including BBC and Silverside are already using it.
