AWS announces vector solutions including search and retrieval capabilities that can be added to existing AWS data stores (Amazon OpenSearch Service, S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElastiCache for Valkey, Neptune) to support agentic AI workloads such as RAG, semantic search, hybrid search, GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, real-time recommendations, anomaly detection, and multimodal discovery. For new workloads, Amazon OpenSearch Service is recommended as the default vector engine.
