In this technical report we introduce Krea 3: a foundation image-to-image model with frontier intelligence, built to be fast and cost-efficient. We present: (1) the model architecture; (2) our training systems for variable reference counts and native 2K resolution; (3) how we mine, synthesize, and caption image-to-image data; (4) reinforcement learning with an agentic reward harness; and (5) preference optimization. Introduction Text-to-image (T2I) models have transformed creative industries. However, while they have vast world knowledge, many visual tasks can’t be described with words alone. An identity, a product, or a design reference is easier to show than to describe. Image-to-image (I2I) models close this gap: they take reference images as input and reason over them alongside the instruction. We introduce Krea 3, a foundation image-to-image model with frontier intelligence. It keeps characters and products consistent across edits, makes targeted changes while leaving the rest of the image untouched, and combines up to 8 reference images in a single generation.
