Carbon improves upon coding, agentic and scientific tasks, full-stack web development, and multimodal understanding. However, cybersecurity is where it makes its biggest leap. The model initially will be released to a subset of cyber defenders before eventually rolling out to developers, businesses, and consumers. Carbon will be available at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens priced at 95% off the input token price. About a month ago, Google teased us with its next frontier model — Gemini 4 Argon. Two weeks ago, that model saw the light of day as it finally rolled out for everyday users. While two weeks may not sound all that long, time moves a little faster in the world of AI. Google is now teasing us once again with a brand new frontier model.
