Check Point is using OpenAI Daybreak to cut its vulnerability research workflow from hours to minutes, according to Jonathan Zanger, the company's CTO. Check Point Research investigates newly disclosed vulnerabilities and turns findings into signatures or indicators of compromise that its products use to recognize threats, work that previously depended on how many expert analysts were available. Zanger says the value comes from the models' ability to reason about security problems, including understanding vulnerabilities, analyzing attack patterns and scanning code for gaps. Check Point is also working with OpenAI on an Agentic Network Security Orchestration solution that would pair continuous monitoring of customer environments with defined operating boundaries and human approval for consequential actions. Customers would set security objectives, and the system would explain its findings, recommended actions and risks so they could decide how to proceed. With research now taking minutes, Check Point says its next priority is remediation, using Daybreak to help security teams address the gaps they identify.
