Replit launched Monitoring Agent, an autonomous on-call engineer that can investigate production alerts, identify the cause, validate a fix and deploy it for apps published on Replit. The company says the agent gives every internal app builder and entrepreneur the kind of production response that at a large company would fall to a paged on-call engineer. Monitoring Agent can read production logs and metrics, so it can investigate errors, slowdowns and failed deployments without the creator digging through logs. With alerting and autofix enabled, it is notified when an issue occurs, investigates the cause, validates a fix and emails a summary of what happened. With auto-publish enabled, it can deploy a validated fix and report back on what changed, and Replit says the user decides whether fixes are published automatically. The agent follows App Monitoring, which Replit launched earlier this year to give production health checks and alerts when a published app went down; Replit says the new agent closes the loop by making the fix as well. To get started, users publish an app, open its Publishing settings and enable intelligent autofix alerting.
