Cadence cut the median time to reach a patient after an out-of-range vital from 1 hour and 48 minutes to 3.5 minutes using ElevenAgents, according to a webinar with ElevenLabs. The agent monitors incoming vitals, calls the patient when a reading falls out of range, runs a symptom screen, and either escalates to a nurse or closes the alert. Cadence's Rachel Wang said the design assumes the agent will sometimes be wrong, so "not sure" counts as not cleared and the alert cannot be resolved, and the agent over-escalates to a nurse rather than missing a critical issue. Answer rates on critical calls rose from 41% to 60%, and patients answer the agent 47% more often than human callers. The session also covered a remote patient monitoring demo with identity verification, escalation, post-call analysis and simulation tests, plus practices such as limiting the agent to the protected health information it needs and enforcing authorization checks in code.
