Vercel introduced BotID, a new protection layer that blocks browser automation tools like Playwright and Puppeteer from reaching critical routes such as checkouts, logins, signups, and LLM-powered endpoints. BotID is available in Basic (enabled by default) and Deep Analysis modes, with Deep Analysis powered by Kasada available to Pro and Enterprise teams. Setup requires no configuration files or API keys, and server-side verification uses a single function call.
