Replit announced the integration of Nix into its infrastructure, giving users access to over 30,000 OS packages instantly. The move replaces a static, pre-baked OS image that was becoming unsustainable to maintain. Users can now specify dependencies in a replit.nix file and have environments built composably, with packages already available in every repl via a shared 1 terabyte Nix store.
