Replit enabled Effort-Based Pricing for new users on June 18, 2025, and rolled it out to existing users on July 2. The pricing changes checkpoint costs from a flat $0.25 to a variable amount based on compute resources consumed, with simpler requests costing as low as $0.06 and more complex ones costing more. Replit also offered $10 in credits to affected users and refunded overcharges from a July 11 incident.
