OpenAI announced always-on Dots agents, the GPT-6.1 Sol upgrade, and new Codex and ChatGPT developer capabilities at DevDay 2026. The Agents API now supports computer use and brings Codex’s multi-agent capabilities, tool search, tool calling and context compaction into applications.
