Google Research and Google DeepMind, in partnership with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, conducted a prospective single-center feasibility study of AMIE, a conversational medical AI for clinical reasoning and dialogue. The study involved 100 adult patients in a real-world ambulatory primary care setting, assessing safety, feasibility, clinical reasoning, and patient/physician perceptions. Results showed zero safety interventions, increased patient trust, and diagnostic performance on par with primary care physicians.
