The University of Manchester, working with NVIDIA, used the Earth-2 family of open AI models to forecast air pollution across the UK. The team trained Earth-2 CorrDiff and Earth-2 StormCast on the Isambard-AI supercomputer, achieving a UK-wide pollution model at 2-3 square kilometer resolution in two days, and demonstrated the workflow on the DGX Spark desktop system.
